I’m a writer and a veteran of the Vietnam War. My name is Peter McShane, and I’d like to share my stories and essays with you. Save a Life, Take a Life—Green Beret Medic in Vietnam and the Passage Home will be published in the second quarter of 2018, a memoir that took almost twelve years to create, written while in therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It was a painful journey, but  writing about my experiences released me from a life of guilt, anger and resentment. Writing saved my life.
